Food was good and atmosphere nice. The chips and salsa were great but they were very chincy with the chips. The sopes would make me come back!

Fantastic place for breakfast with very friendly service. I had the lox snd onions omelet. It is bicycle tourist friendly with plenty of space next to most tables for your bike. Bike racks right in front too for those who can lock up. This is in a big city though so need high security lock and take all the bits off your bike.

Tasty food. Wait staff is friendly and makes you feel welcome. Best pancakes I ever had.

I like this spot! They give marvelous meals, their menu is large, The chef in that place is an expert, I enjoy a lot trying all their dishes. The dishes are consistently of high qualtity, the attitude towards the guests is nice. I often eat in this place and I was never disappointed. I recommend this place.

Skip this place. everything is bland, no flavor, tasteless. service is subpar.the only good item is the eggs benedict. best hollandaise ever. the rest of the menu is trash.

Super quiet on a Monday morning. Good food and friendly service. The place might get pretty loud when it is busy, but the relaxed atmosphere feels very Berkley to me.

Great place, nice atmosphere. The food is really good, however, my eggs were not up to par, one was over cooked, while the other was undercooked.

This was my neighborhood breakfast restraunt. The food is descent especially for the price. I enjoyed the hot Mediterranean salad. Swing by if you are visiting the Ashby flea market. Closes early.

Come for the cinnamon banana French toast. It's great.

I do not recommend this restaurant . Poor service, order not complete and food served cold. Wait time was extremely long coffee served with no utensils had to get up and get my own. Advise that order was not complete they brought the additional items at the end of our meal. If I was not starving I would’ve got up and left.

I've been coming to this place for two years. The food quality and quantity are great and the staff is friendly. It's generally busy on the weekends but pretty chill on other days. I highly recommend it if you want a good American breakfast.

I love this place. It is in my neighbourhood, so we Eat there often. The menus has not changed since the new owners took over. Their prices stayed the same too. That is a big plus and I give it 5 stars, easily. Right now, it is a great place to go to, because It is not crowded, and you can sit 6 feet apart easily. I hope it says open.

Nice, spacious, and had a little touch of quaint. There is an old vault safe in the wall part of the decor. Relaxing Atmosphere. Enjoyed.

Managed (owned?) by Iranians but serves "regular" U.S.A.-style menu. Friendly service. Not expensive, but not cheap. Daily specials. Closes at 4pm. Street parking in front.

Great place to have breakfast with the family, prices are accessible. Good for a fast bite or enjoyable food with a large group. Food is delicious their orange juice is always fresh. Wheel chair accessible, parking is a bit of a challenge and only metered street parking, the servers are friendly and food comes relatively fast. Unisex restrooms are available.

Bad customer service. The waiter was rude, denied me a clean spoon when nicely had asked for one and she had started to argue with me, told me if I didn't like their services that I should leave. I've asked her where's her manager or owner, her responses was "Don't worry about"! I've Spoken with the owner, he wasn't any help with the situation. He was cocky and sarcastic, he barely listen to what I've said. So therefore I will not go back to that place.

I love Vault Cafe. The food is diner style; inexpensive and delicious. Warning: the croissants are massive. I highly recommend the breakfast sandwich on a croissant, the croissant french toast, the lox and cream cheese omelette. Also, they are really great with kids!

New owners should not be in the restaurant business. Our waitress/owner got our order completely wrong (3 people= $65!), one ordered a tuna melt and got a BLT, my omelet was half the size of what normally comes (more like a 3 egg omelet), my daughter ordered Turkey sausage and got chicken and apple sausage (items aren't even the same shape) and she requested Monterey Jack cheese and got American. Come to find out our waitress/ owner was ESL which is fine except when your sole responsibility is taking orders for meals! I'm sad that our local restaurant go to is no longer. I won't be going again

The owner was very nice. The food that came out was very tasty. I have absolutely no complaints. The neighborhood has issues with homelessness but that isn't the business owners fault.

My regular bruch place. Huge mimozas, good freshly squeezed orange juice. Wide variaty of omletts, standard american kitchen with little eastern European twist.

I remember coming here a couple of years ago when i lived in Berkeley. It was nothing out of the ordinary. Good diner food at reasonable prices all inside an old bank building where you can still see the vault door. Hence the name. I went here recently and ordered the cheese burger, they forgot the cheese which was fine. It was a decent burger nothing special. The fries were fried nicely but bland in flavor. Could have used some salting as soon as they came out the fryer. My friend had the eggs and pancakes. Again, good food, but nothing special. Overall, if you are looking for a decently priced meal and your expectations are not high this place will be just right.

after this place changed ownership, it's not what it used to be. I was told that the owners started stealing tables from servers to make a few extra bucks which resulted in them quitting. I would not support this kind of business anymore.All these 5 star local guides reviews seem to be paid spams as the food and service wouldn't even be 3 star on the best day

Pasta sauce is good. Hot pastrami sandwich came out with nearly no meat and cold. They were happy to put more meat on it but it was still hardly edible

Came from out of state. Owner has rude. Messed up our order & complained about it to our faces when we wanted it fixed. There was one waitress who helped us out, she is an huge asset to this restaurant! She got our drinks, checked up on us, and she was not even our server. She needs a raise! She explained to us that the owner (serving us) had just bought the restaurant, & it was clear he did not know what he was doing. Tried to make us pay for food he gave us on accident and threatened to call the police!!!!

Service was good, food was good. I would go there again. Week day is nice because it's not crowded.
